Patch Name Script for Cubase

Post by Fizio22 »

Hello,
Just bought an X50. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there was a patch name script to paste into Cubase VST so that i could easily pick out a specific program to use in every track. Or is there a way i could select MSB and LSB. I used this with a Yamaha S90 and it worked effortlessly. Many thanks in advance.

You don't need a patch name script for using the X50 with Cubase. You load the Korg Plug-in Editor VST and then you can completely control the X50 as an add-in from Cubase, allowing you to see all the patch names that way, including any patches you've changed or downloaded.

Patch Script

Many thanks for replying,
I have done this and Cubase and X50 are communicating OK, it's just that somehow I can't see the plug-in / add-in, in Cubase. I'm seeing quite a few Korg synths, but nothing is coming up for the x50. no doubt this will be obvious when I finally get it, but at the moment it's a bit of a pain.
I've tried looking at all the editors etc, and instruments on the panel at the left. It is Cubase VST 32 that i am using.

Cheers,
Alex.

Lol he's not talking about CONTROLLING X-50 via Cubase, he's rather talking about MIDI-MAPPING of X-50 on cubase... You know... to be able to controll as much knobs and buttons on Cubase from X-50 (less usage of mouse). My friend I haven't found one for X-50 so far:(
