Korg Extreme in Cubase Midi Device Manager ?

Post by Big Bear »

I have a Korg Extreme and I'd like to control it by Cubase.
Where could I download a patchlist of the factorysettings ?
Thanks for your help !

Hey there. While I haven't attempted your feat with the TEX-I wanted to ask if you've tried audio recording instead of midi?
The polyphony would be unlimited, the quality would be just the same or better, and I've gotten successful results doing it this way? I'm using an outdated USB audio/midi interface and it works perfectly, and my computer is "only" a measly
1.5 GHZ P4 with 512 MB of memory...

Well, Good luck to you.

No I havent , Im recording the tex and all my other midi gear via midi into cubase SE3. Polyphony shouldnt be a problem as I only use one or two combis from each keyboard/module at time. You dont use cubase SE or SX then?

Wow, nice gear lineup in your signature!
Yes sir, I'm only using the base Cubase SL 2.0 at the moment...It works great and the audio playback it sweet.

Midi's great too, I just now started preferring the audio recording because it records everything as you want it to sound without making sure the Midi is doing its job. I've had lots of glitches in the past so this definitely makes it easier for me anyway.

As for recording "combi's" my combinations run a bit thick.
At the very minimum my Combinations are at least 5-6 voices each, some have 10 voices programmed so I think I'd run out of polyphony sooner than later. Since you have a Tex and if you have a moment check out my SoundClick page...

I have a demo of triton extreme guitar emulations I'll be hopefully releasing soon-on the page in the music section.
Then have a listen of Behind the Shadows I wait, all done with my custom soundsets. Let me know what you think about them?
I was aiming for the realism.
