battery and buttons

Post by patje1703 »

Hi Everyone,

When I powered up my extreme last week I got a notice on my touchscreen about a battery but I didn't read the notice thoroughly.
Can anyone tell me anything about that battery (backup??) and how can I replace it when it's empty.

greetz

recently I learned if you startup with power button and the 3 button held down you can see the remaining voltage (didn't try it yet though)

The message is to let you know the battery is low & needs to be replaced.
You need to purchase a SONY or PANASONIC CR2032 battery.
Its very easy to replace, just follow the instructions on page 324 in the parameter guide.

It doesn't have to be those brands you mentioned, just wanted to clarify for those with limited resources...(like me)

I purchased a 5-pack, by SunBeam for $1.90 at big lots here in southern California.
