Hi everybody,

The sound editor program on my Windows XP SP3 computer isn't working properly. Receiving programs or data doesn't work.
I get a 'device inquiry error'

Sending 1 program to the R3 works fine so it looks like sending is o.k. but receiving isn't.

Is there a solution to this problem?

The problem is that you have configured the editor to the midi in/out of your Fast Track Ultra, instead of the R3 directly.

Hook your R3 to your computer directly via USB, install the USB-MIDI driver, then configure the editor to use the R3 USB-midi ports directly.

As soon as i'm home from work, i'll give it a try. It sounds quite simple.
