Good news - Korg Inc. is going to release a convertor function within the Editor in a short while that will convert Combis and Songs.

Thanks to ongoing discussions with you, our users, and "behind-the-scenes" discussions with Stephen Kay and the team it has been agreed upon.

Now... please don't keep asking, "Is it done yet?", OK?

For now you can move to V2 and wait a bit, or you can move to V2 and then load your old PCG file and use your Songs and Combis fine, you just won't be listening to or using the new PCM.

You could also move to V2, load you old PCG file and then still load the EX-PCM-01/02 data and just load the User-E Programs and Combis from within the new V2 preload data.

So there really is no need to avoid trying V2, and again, DO NOT try to downgrade from V2 back to 1.x.

Regards,

Jerry

this is very welcome, as I almost dread new releases of pcg sounds, as much as I love them, but it makes me feel not in control of my songs and sounds. While I do like that the sounds are better organized by type, I do not like when they're switched around, because I get used to looking in a certain spot for a program and now it's been moved. As long as they stay put now, we should be good to go.
