Copy one synth to another synth

Hey, I have a synth, and have created a pattern for it. How can i copy this pattern to the second synth?

Stop playback, select synth part 2, shift+3, select synth part 1, hit "3"
once more.

And to go one step further, if you pan the 2 synth parts when one's copied, to L & R, then hold shift+2, (MOVE) on one of the parts, and move it one step, it creates a nice delay effect...
