Hi!

Today i've received my ESX but i've a problem with signal...

I check the cables, i've tried to change it, but i hear only 1 output of my korg, and i hear a interference noize if i pump up the volume too...

i've a pair of krk6 monitors, i go out directly from korg out (principal output, right of headphones....) and enter one in right speaker, and one on left speaker... ( i tried the speakers one at one and they are ok!)

Wrong I something?????

I don't know about the single output not working. Why are you connecting via the headphones at all? You should connect the L/Mono to one speaker, and the R to the other speaker with 1/4" cables.

Sadly, the noise is normal. The ESX makes a soft hiss all the time. You just have to get used to it. There is a way to run all samples at +12db which might help the signal-to-noise ratio, but usually you just get used to it.

ok about little noise....

when i spoke about headphones was only to explain where i connect the cables...

i have not connect the cable at headphones output, but in the near output
the pricipal output

Yesterday i've tried to listen with headphones and i hear in mono too!!
i think that the esx has some problem, cause, the headphones cables it's a stereo cables and with ableton works good....

new tubes, depending on the tubes, will help lower the noise level.

The tubes are new as machine!!! one day life!

but for the mono problems!??!

The tubes that come with the electribes are kinda crappy. You can swop them for other tubes, giving different kinds of overdrive sound

Ruso, my esx makes a noticable hiss even when the tube gain is turned completely down. Will swopping the tubes still make a difference?

Yes, because you'll be able to use the tube gain without the annoying distortion.

original poster: if you just bought it, and you bought it new (not second hand) you should take it back.. it sounds like you might have a bad/broken tube (if a tube isnt working, this will happen though i havent heard of anyone getting a new one with a broken tube, but i imagine it can happen).

if you got it used/second hand you should order yourself a pair of matched JJ ECC83 S tubes, you can get them for about 20$'s and they sound better than the stock tubes anyways. they are really easy to replace and they sound better than the stock tubes in the first place. if it was a ebay purchase, maybe even try to contact the seller and inform them of what is going on and that you're going to try to sell the tubes.. maybe they'll pitch in.

if it ends up not being the tubes and you got it second hand.. you've been screwed by a bad seller and there is something wrong with the hardware, but you could probably try to do a fedex/ups insurance claim.

one other thing you could check is just to look @ the tubes through the window and check if one of the tubes is out of socket at all.. if there is any gap between where they plugin and their base, its come loose (shouldnt happen, they're in there pretty snug) this could happen as well.
