Looks like October is already spicing up for my live shows. I have not done this much live playing in years. On the 3rd we have the "fluffy" wedding that we are doing (big pay though), which would not be bad except it will be a four hour gig of covers. I can feel fatigue setting in already!

The next weekend, however, I am a little excited. I am doing a two hour gig of ALL ORIGINALS...not with my cover band, but with another group (the singer you heard from this month on my OSAM fronts them). He and I will be splitting the show with songs we have written. I will desperately attempt to get some audio and video of this to share. I mean, really, how OFTEN does one get to showcase JUST their own music? So this should be really cool.

Just wanted to share part of my schedule with you guys!

Sounds great Jon, both extremes of the live playing scale :)

Lord, I wish I could be there. Hey, I could be the opening act (wishful thinking [-o< ) I do hope, rather I do demand some sort of posting of this event. We're all going to be there in spirit at least.

I wish you all the best.

Since I've had the experience of being able to perform my original compositions, and having absolutely no audio, or video record of it, I insist...that you make some arrangements to document the event.
As for the cover tunes, ya just make 'em as fun as possible, and feed off the crowd.

Give 'em H E double hockey sticks my friend, as George said, we'll be there in spirit.

Regards,

Nice - nothing like pumping out your own tunes live!

The closest thing to that for me has been just free from jamming for the most part. Actually, there was a time when 3 of us had 4 or 5 originals down. Lost touch with those guys over the years .... things change ....

Enjoy, record (and share!), and let us know how it went!

Well I am heading for Savannah for the show tonight. We are pretty excited!

As to my other show featuring my own music, I have postponed the show for now. I have way too much on my plate and need to get several sessions finished before month's end. Once I reschedule it, I will let you guys know and post any results!

Maybe I will have something from tonight in a few days.
