EMX / ESX mkII please

Hey all,
I'm pretty sure no one knows (or if they do, can't say anything), but I thought I would ask anyway. How long do you think it will be before we see new Electribe(s)?
I really want to buy an ESX-1 and detach myself from the PC, but I don't feel like buying one is a good idea right now. Mostly because it's "old tech". I mean, SmartMedia is essentially gone, and other types of memory are cheap, standardized, and fast (HCSD). USB connectivity is pretty standard, and cheap. Even Korg's own products (KP3, Radias, etc) all have USB, and convenience software. . .
I guess I'm already set in my own mind that I'm not getting one until they come out with a new version that addresses all these issues. For now I think I'll be buying a nanoPad, and sticking with my laptop, but I just wanted to know if anyone's seen anything else coming down the pipe.
Oh, and it's not my intention to start a new "most wanted features" thread. (There's already plenty of those.) I was just wondering how long a product refresh is going to take, and how many of you all are waiting too.
Thanks,
Fierball
