Looking for Stevie Wonder sound

Post by Jim_L »

That funky 'wah'-ish keyboard sound on his tunes 'Higher Ground', 'Superstition' & 'You Haven't Done Nothin'.
I've got an X50 that I dabble on (I'm not a keyboard player) and haven't got a clue how to modify the existing sounds.

Is it just an effect that can easily be added to an onboard sound? I've scrolled through all the onboard sounds and can't find something like it.
All help is appreciated!
Thanks,

The instrument you are referring to is called a clavinet:

I know my Triton Extreme has a couple of programs for it, but i guess you'll just have to find out by looking around. If not, i think your only option would be to take some sort of guitar sound and add a wah/filter effect... not so sure how well that would turn out though.
