Hey everyone! I have a pluck I am using in the Polysix and I want to automate the VCF Cutoff and have it raise from 2.30 to 10.00. How do I use the CC in that and what do I select? I would really appreciate some info on this. Thanks alot!!

This answer depends on you using Cubase, so hope that you do. If you want to see what CC is being used presently, right click on the parameter and a drop down menu shows all CC with a check mark beside the one for that paramater. Some don't have one assigned but you can always have it assigned by using the "learn" function. Just move whatever knob or slider on your controller and it becomes tha default for that parameter. If you are using Cubase you could also use the Write and Read buttons on that track, so as to be able to edit it also if you aren't happy with your results in real time. There will be a lane in the track which will show the movements.
Hope this helps.

Hey Rock Machine. No, I'm using FL 7. I just want to simply raise the VCF Cutoff gradually in the breakdown of my track so it becomes heavier. I want it to slowly climb from 2.30 to possibly 10.00 or lower....not sure if I want to fully open it up yet. The knob is currently "Not Assigned"...but there are a bunch of CC's....which one do I choose....and when I do...how do I use it?
Thanks for your information though. I appreciate it muchly!

Hi again HWJ,
Okay, if you left-click on the Krg Polysix logo, a menu will show up with one of the options being "Show Controller Assign". Click on that one and all of the current CC numbers will show below the parameters. You will see that the Cutoff has 74 assigned to it as that is an industry standard for filter cutoff I believe. I don't know FL at all, so can't help you with that. Are you using a controller with knobs or sliders that send out MIDI CC numbers? If you do, move one as you record on a track and then with the editor look at its CC number. If it isn't 74, then use the MIDI learn function to change the Cutoff's MIDI CC 74 to whatever the controller is putting out. Be careful though as if that number is used by some other parameter on the Polysix, it will now lose it.
Sorry about my mistake in the other post as it isn't a right click, but left. Hope this helps, and once you get this, you may want to start wanting to do all sorts of real-time editing.

well I know how to use automation....and I automate EVERYTHING in FL, but when it comes to VST's, I do not have a main controller I turn to for automation. I have the MS-20....that is considered a controller right? I have the whole Legacy Collection with Wavestation as well. Are there free MIDI controllers out there that I can use to automate the Polysix?
I right-clicked and found that the VCF Cutoff knob was Not Assigned yet.
