Where do I find the battery in my TR Rack???

Sorry for such a daft question, but I couldn't see anything in there that looked remotely like the battery
- do I have to do major surgery just to replace a battery? Or should I just get myself a brain extension and look again?
Help!

In the first picture you can see something round and metal next to the blue-highlight. That's the battery.
Edit: Wooops! Sorry, I just read it's for the T-Rack!

Don't know about the tr rack but the trinity does not have a battery.
What's your problem? have you lost your sounds?

No battery?
I thought some kind of little lithium battery was needed to keep the memory "alive" when the unit is powered off, or you'd lose anything you had programmed yourself. I've got six or seven other machines, all digital synths, and all of them have this. What does the TR do to store its sounds? I'm only asking because if there's a battery then sooner or later it goes dead, usually sometime convenient like when you're on tour

this post refers to the tr-rack. and by the way, the trinity keyboard DOES have a battery. i was looking at the pics and i noticed near the power is a black round thing standing up. looks alot like a battery wrapped in rubber possibly. i have 2 racks so i wanna know too.

Hi folks!
It's an old topic, but the problem still exists.
I have a
TR-Rack that doesn't store the settings (MIDI, master tuning, etc.) after I turn it off. Everything is always back to default. The factory sounds and programs are ok. I suspected the battery, because the rest of my KORG hardware don't have this problem (Trinity Pro, 01/Wfd, Triton Rack, M3 Xpanded).
Today I opened it up and couldn't see anything that resembles any battery.

There is no battery inside the TR Rack. The instrument stores settings in non-volatile memory.
From the user manual:
When program, combination, multi or global settings are Written, they will be stored in internal memory and will not be lost when the power is turned off.

But why does it always reset to default every time I turn it on?

The Global settings need to be saved, after making changes, for them to survive a power cycle. Global memory protect needs to be off, to enable saving.
