Worth,
Apologies again for not getting back to you, but I'm STILL unable to lay my hands on the board I have here.
It's definitely not 3.0 tho, it's 2.?? (very similar no to an o.s. number)
cheers,
Tommy
btw - Wittid, if you read this - could you email or pm me details of how to upgrade my EXB to 3.0, please? cheers, T.

Is there a list of the actual new voices and styles that come with the XMS-1 upgrade? I am trying to find an English listing of the information that gives the specific names of the new styles and voices.

Hi,
there is the list (contents of the board):
http://www.pa1xpro.de/demosEXB1/Vers2/E ... ttV2.5.pdf
For the content of the software i´ve no list - sorry - there are some user-sounds more and a lot of styles, but i don´t have a list right now. I´ve 4 weeks christmas holidays - maybe i´ll do this

Hi Detlef
It would be really great if you could make a list of the new styles on the XMS-1. I am most interested in the styles, although I am sure the new sounds are nice. Do you really get all those sounds listed in that PDF link? There are more than 256 new sounds and a lot new drums, too.

Hi,
on the list are the sounds of the hardware itself.
Then there´s a BKP file too, includes a lot of user-sounds - like
Concert Oboe (a very nice sound for my taste), Sopran Sax and many more.
I´ll do the list and come back to you. Can start at December/15/2008.

Hi Wittid andv anyone else that can help. I already have the XMS4 for all my piano needs. What am i gaining if i purchase the XMS1 in terms of new sounds ? I can see that pretty much all of the pianos and EPs i have already from the XMS4. I wont have the opportunity to try before i buy and i am nervous about spending money on sounds that i already have on my keyboard. Has anyone bought both the XMS1 and 4 and can they tell me whether it was worth it. Better still Wittid. Can Xprodata come up with some kind of money back gaurantee policy so that people like me can try the product and send it back if it does not satisfy ? I want to buy the XMS1 but money is tight and i dont want to regret the purchase. Does anyone know of ny other expansion boards that exist for the PA1X as i may as well use up the last remaining slot . There will be no future upgardes for this awesome keyboard.
Cheers

Hi worth,
i think XMS1 and XMS4 are two total different ideas.
With XMS1 you´ve a much better allround sound. New sounds of each group (not only piano) a lot of new drumkits. So it´s a much better sound in main. XMS2 and XMS4 are very spcialized boards. XMS1 is the basic board.
If i understand you right you´re not sure about the point that maybe XMS1 pianos are good enough for you and XMS4 is not necessary for you any longer.
First i think XMS4 has much better pianos than XMS1 (but maybe the pianos at XMS1 are good enough for you).
You´ve the possibility to sell the XMS4 if that´s the fact.
We´re not able to offer a try and buy - sorry.
If you´ve any additional questions please come back to me.
