TO KORG !!! and KORG OWNERS..

You got my vote !
Unfortunately, I have to say when Korg says warranty, they should call the the keyboard and fix it and send it in their place not a representative or a music store which might be certified in 1000s other products..
Today I went to this store they said it will take 8 weeks for us to start looking at your keyboard / KORG PA800. Now how long before they actually fix and send it back.. People have a life.. that is too much time ...
Korg should actually take ownership of and try to attract more customers and even track their issues..
If someone else is fixing the issues for korg, then korg will never know what really went on, what the issues were and how it got fixed????
I will totally go with another product if my korg is not fixed soon... It is a pitty to see such a good keyboard with warranty is not really fixed by KORG itself but by others, and then you have to wait and wait and wait... I CANT deal with that.
I am ready to ship it to korg at my expense if they can fix it themselves and send it back to me immediately.. after all I can not spend another 3000 on another keyboard.
Thanks
Farah

Hi Farah.
Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.
If you are not getting the service you expect from your authorised dealer, then bring it to the next nearest authorised dealer who will respect you and get the job done quickly.
$$$ is not easy to come by these days with the way the world is turning, so you can be sure there's a dealer out there looking for your business.
Regards.

Man, that's very unlucky.
Is your problem one that requires an authorised service ?.
Have you considered a electronics repaid shop not attached to s music store ?.
It's much the same to them and if you not need an authorised service, it might be worth considering ?.
Regards.

Farah,
That estimate of time is rediculous! Just to get to a point of looking at it in 8 weeks...That dealer should loose their Korg Dealership! For al Korg products.
OK, I don't know where you are...but what I would do is two things..TOMMORROW!
1) Call the dealer and ask who the DISTRIBUTOR of Korg in your Country is, get a name & phone number of the dealers contact at the distributor. Get that information and ask for whoever you have to to get it! Do not let them put you off!
2) Call the Distribtor contact and tell them the whole situation. Tell them the service estimate is not exceptable and you want another choice.
IF they do not help you out...call Korg PA and tell them the whole story. You would need to talk to the main Marketing manager (or general manager), the one in charge of Distributors. Not tech support people.
Tell them you can not except the situation with the Distribuor or dealer in your country.
If KorgPA does not help you...(I think they will) then it will be a decision to keep the instrument or not.
Hope this helps set a direction for you??

Thank you lee for the info. I will definately do that first thing tomorrow ... I was having this in my agenda.. first contact the site from where I purchased. I have already sent them info. of the situation.. I have bought this keyboard only 3 months ago.. Not long... so I expect at least a better service...
I have been with these guys almost for 4 years.. starting with pa50 to pa 1x and pa800... they are not only going to loose me.. I honestly given recommendations about korg to every single one..
This is VERY DISAPPOINTING !!!

Farah:
It would help if you said where you are located - what country etc.
Then someone could give you more direct help/advice.

Jerry

Farah,
USA...Then Jerry is your guy!
WOW, I can't believe a USA dealer/service center is giving you the runaround...I thought you were probably in a remote part of the world or something.
Get a hold of him PM or call him at Korg USA.
