hi all,

I find it stupid that korg doesn´t support the pa1x(pro) anymore.
For example. I have for the expansion ram a module for 32 mb. BUT, the pa don't recognise this. It recognise as 16 mb. How difficult is it to adapt the OS so the pa can recognise the extending of the ram? I think it is very easy.

It would be great if korg just make just ones more an upgrade. I find it silly that the pa just got a total of 32 ram. I mean, the pa isn't cheap. And everyone got the problem that the ram isn't enough.

I understand that korg goes for the economical way, they just want us to go for the pa2x.

well, that was mine complain

Hi Milo,

A lot of Pa1x owners including me asked these same questions before deciding to get a Pa800 or Pa2x.

Unfortunately the hardware changes required to add more RAM and internal SSD storage for OS expansion are not feasible even for skilled electronics people to implement.

So, if the Pa1x does not meet your requirements your only option is another keyboard.

Regards,
Rob

It simply shows that that Korg let the quality control and bug testing slip by trying to get the product out to the market too quickly. The same thing happened with the launch of the OS2 software upgrade. Just about every post on the PA2X forum is some critiscism of the PA2X or PA800 and it seems the more that times goes by tyhe more new bugs are discovered and some of the problem would appear to be definately hardware problems. Thats very bad news. Thank God i have stayed with tyhe PA1X. There was no genuine reason to upgrade but you know what its like when you have had the same gear for some time and something "newer and better " comes along. But i could not find a musical reason to change . I am so glad that i didnt jump ship. Obviouisly i am really sorry for those that did and are now having their livelihoods threatened by an unsatble instrument.
