Very serious Bugs in OS 2.0!

Jerry and Paolo,
its tested on a PA800 not PA2X, COPYing from parts to parts in Style Record
(didnt test sequencer yet) its a big mess. If you copy from
One style to Another, Var 4 to Var 1, the Guitar Mode tracks dont copy, they
translate as regular notes and its just a big mess, Copying from Var to Fill
doesnt even work, sometimes it does half the tracks, sometimes, nothing,
sometimes messes up the Guitar Tracks.
The WEIRDEST thing, when in Style Record, and go to Copy from a Style
bringing into the Current, you guys forgot to put the USER banks in there???
There is no User Banks in Copy, you can only Copy from Factory or Favorite
but not from User Banks.
Guys this OS needs serious work on it, half of it is only a MESS.
Please read this and do something.

And please no need for arguments and assumptions here. I tested it and i trust
my self, i know exactly what i am doing...i wish someone would prove me wrong
but not about this, i know for a fact, i just wish i am wrong.

Another thing:
When going into RECORD NEW STYLE and after recording something, saving
then coming out if you go to Track Controls and Volume Edit only for the
Drums Track all the Element Volumes are reseted to 64, everything becomes
so hard to use and takes more time with the NEW OS.

Hi Nedim,
haven't tried copying style parts as yet, but I did try & copy individual cv's from a pad into a style track , & it wouldn't work. Kept defaulting to copying " All" instead of individual CV's. Also if I tried scrolling thru the individual pad cv's, the destination style track would scroll from vari 1 to vari 2 etc.
Haven't had a great deal of time to spend on it yet.

Hi Nedim .
1) About User Style on CURRENT SELECT to Copy - press Select ->Bank 11/20 -> and you will find there User Styles to copy them ...
2) About Guitar Mode COPY ... It work fine, but ... After COPY a style's var1 to var4 or something else we have to go STYLE CONTROL page -> and those TRACKS which are in GUITAR mode put them GTR then all will be OK ...
3) About COPY Var to Fill ... it works fine too ...
Never , never we could COPY Var to Fill like this - VAR 1 to Fill 1 never ... to do COPY always we have to do -> V1-CV1 to F1-CV1 (or something like this) ...
Please , don't tell something that you didn't do before or ask if something is wrong - then tell that , ALL IS WRONG and MESS ...
Without misunderstanding ...

I found another possible bug.
I edited a Midi file in sequencer mode by adjusting each track volume to my liking.
When I load the song in song mode, all the tracks volumes are at 100. WTF?

Did you delete all the CC# at the start of the song from all the tracks.

Yep...
CC means “Control Change” and “#” usually contains an event. This can be a number between 0 to 127 or a command. It can also be both at the same time.
For example, to set the volume of a track to 100, you would enter in CC#07 100
07 is the code for Volume, 100 is the amount.
When you load a midi file into your keyboard, the first measure of every track is likely to contain a lot of CC# data. This is likely to be effect send values, volume, program selection, pan.... and so on.
Basically, all the settings your keyboard needs to know in order for the song to play back right.
If you wish to customise the song, you need to delete this information. If you don't, when you save the song back to disk, your new settings are automatically written to the first measure of each track where all the existing settings are.
You then end up with two sets of settings telling your keyboard to do different things, which leads to obvious problem.
Kind Regards.
Sharp.

Hi Sharp,
Thanku so much for such a subjective description.
But what to do when you have the song starting from the first measure and therez no empty first measure to contain the control change data? By inserting a measure would probably not do the job. What to do in tht case?

Umair

it doesn't matter. You just need to insert the info at bar 1 , beat 1.

Hi all togehter,
you want some more bugs?
If you reload a backup file ov os v111 you lost the DNC Sound Places.
if you modified some "Rom" Sounds you can't load them into os v2 without losing the DNC Sounds or you must copy all the edited Rom Sounds to the user bank and than copy them again one by one into the Rom area.
if you load a text document and change the style the text is gone...
if you import Multisamples you often have a fatal error and you must restart the keyboard again.
The original Midi driver v1.11 don't work with the PA2x, we tryed it on over 10 PC systems. You can install them, but you can't see the Midipath in any program.
