Who Is Interested in a new OSAM for 09

We're thinking about the next OSAM starting in March of 09. Let me know here if you want to make the committment. Past failures or successes don't count for this one, this is a new committment for whoever wishes to join up. For any new folks: You simply have to post an original song, either completed or rough draft by the last day of each month starting in March of 09. Also, this contract requires you to listen and comment constructively on everyone else's tunes. Keeping in mind of course that we are all at various stages in our development and production. So please reply here if you wish to join up. 12 songs in a year will give you that kick to create right where you need it.
PS, unless someone else really wants to moderate, I can continue to do so, it wasn't that hard after al.

With my track record for this year, I'm not sure you will let me into the next Osam.....but.....er.....you may count me in too!!
I was feeling so sad that this one was nearly over, just when I am starting to get somewhere with my new stuff, so if you'll have me, I would love to have another chance.
You have no idea how reassuring it feels to know you are all "out there", as I struggle away in my little dungeon

..........well okay, not quite, but you get the idea I'm sure!
Regards from
Dee

I think we can all agree that this year has been a rough one. Even for our music. This will be a fresh start. I am excited because so many did so much. Even if some months were missed by some, we had good participation...especially compared to the last time around.
Every opportunity and excuse we have to make music is a good one, and I am glad to see you on board for another one.

I'm new but am interested in joining this OSAM.
Is there a faq/guidelines for it?

The guidelines are fairly simple. You indicate your desire to join, then each month by the last day of the month you post a link to a song (either completed song or song in progress) and then the people from the group or others also will comment on the song and suggest improvements if they hear problems, or they might suggest something helpful to improve the sound or some other aspect. You may also post a song earlier in the month and then after some help and feedback you can repost the link to show how your song has progressed. If we do start up another group I will probably moderate, so I post the checklist and try to keep up with the songs posted, but you can reply on the month's post to let me know if I've fogotten to include you for a given month. You can do any type of song, but it must be something you can share from somewhere on the internet so people can respond. Oh, I forgot: it's important for you yourself to comment on others songs as well, it's a 2 way street and is highly productive and you will notice your music improve and the deadlines do kick your butt into doing more songs.

Oh man - I remember this question after OSAM 1. I think I need to pass on OSAM 4 as I was over zealous last time and didn't do one tune for OSAM 2.
For me the pace of 1/month is too much to keep up with. For OSAM 3 I signed up for 6 tunes, and so far have been able to do 1 per, but not all finished however.
I really want to keep making tunes at regular intervals - something less than 1/month though.
You who can pump out a finished tune per month are better composers than I - I doff my cap 2 U

I'm still out here, still watching and learning from what you guys do. I'm just starting to get into song writing, and my ideas right now are all for church songs, which would have limited appeal. So I'll just keep lurking and learning. Just wanted you to know I'm here and learning from your creative efforts.

Hi again, Troy,
Not to be pushy...., but all my things are classical and/or sometimes "churchy".
And I survaved two different cycles....(and I think the members survived me for the mo0st part...)

Definitely wouldn't be able to crank out one a month, even at my lofi quality level. Thanks for the encouragement, though.

Hi,
I've just listened to the last couple of months worth of submissions and very much enjoyed the variety of the music on here. Also, everyone seems very constructive and positive in their comments which is great to hear! I'd like to join for 09 and I think I can learn a lot from your comments,
Graham

Hi Everyone,
My name is Joe and I would like to join this group of talented musicians, to kick myself in the rear to compose some new songs. I am a singer and I play guitar, may I say for my own pleasure more than anything else. I also love keyboards but not to hot on them, but love to play weird sounds and make lots of noise!
