He's not really "going" anywhere. He now has two clients Korg and Open Labs, and I am sure he will be keen to continue the relationship with Korg and us !

Calm down people. Karma is a software. Korg still has the fattest sounding synths around. I for one dont like VST and will always be a keyboardist that plays his music on the most expressive machines around. IMO this is all good, more cash flow for Karma and more improvements he can sell to Korg and whoever else needs it. Take the pitch bending on keyboards, did it kill others that didnt have it? NO this wont either

Hey, come to think of it the OpenLabs mikoshmiko is expensive too... how many of those will sell with KARMA?

Billy

OpenLabs also has a big achilles heel... It run on top of Windows and that in itself tells you volumes. The OS is immature and closed. Isn't windows also scrapping Vista for Windows 7? I much prefer the LInux platform as was desgined for the Oasys. BY the way the Oasys also has a much richer and refined sound generation engine than OpenLabs. I can tell you that as I am an engineer and have been under the hood.

The OpenLabs stuff uses Windows XP.

Depending on your definition ... the sound generation engine is whatever you choose to install on it, surely ?

Windows XP , even worse !!!! because you are basically loading an OS that has unecessary routines in it not stripped down for musical functions as the Oasys. I work in IT and I know that pound for pound Windows is not as reliable as a Linux/UNIX OS and even though you might have VSTs and so forth geared for Windows it's just not a reliable work horse , now had they gone the direction of an Apple OS specifically for a keyboard we might be talking.
