Yeah make the intro's, var's and just simply import the MIDI. I make it in FL Studio, and then record it track by track via MIDI cables, rather than importing. If you import, you need to convert the MIDI first to some MIDI version, like 0 or 1

Hello amiri,
The easiest way is to start with a factory style that is similar to the one you want to make, then export the style as a MIDI with markers. You need to use a sequencer on your computer that can display the markers. Then make the edits, save the MIDI filecomplete with markers and then import it back to the Pa2x/Pa800. The procedure is explained in detail in this guide from Korg:
http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/pdf/tutor ... ortSMF.pdf
Be aware that GTR mode tracks contain control values that drives the GTR mode software, not the actual notes that are generated. So long as you understand what the control values do, then you can edit them on the computer. But you can not audition them on the computer.
Best regards,
Rob

Hi amiri,
I don't know Fruity Loops capability to display markers. I'm using Cakewalk Sonar. Maybe someone else can help?
Regards,
Rob

I use FL Studio. Connect the keyboard to the PC via MIDI USB cable. I then make each track one by one, key by key so it sounds perfect. I then press 'Start' in Record Mode and after the count in, I press start in FL Studio... so the keyboard records the track live. I do this for all tracks and then add all the effects straight on the keyboard, sending each track specific effects.
See here - I made all these via MIDI / FL Studio:

All you have to do now, it's to export the whole style in midi type 0 and import it all in one piece. As long as you use markers to seperate the sections, everything would be imported perfectly. You DO NOT need to record anything in real time as you described.

Yeah I still prefer to do it track by track. I think FL Studio saves it as MIDI 1 so i've always had a habit of recording in real time.
