above was the short answer- indeed yes they work but most of the time very poorly so rarely are useable on your live gig.
most styles work but you might want to re map the instruments and especially drums and percussions if those where created on different or custom drum kits otherwise they will sound real bad.
If you do not have the correct drum kit name in your banks then they will not sound.
Most people post their styles on the internet but forget to include their user/custom drum kits as needed to sound those rythmes same way it sounded on where they came from.
Most middle eastern styles use better kits designed by real musicians that each instrument voice has been tweaked for the wanted correct pitch etc.
Korg I series styles are also compatible and can be imported to PA 50 or 80 after a serious scrub to them if not they do not sound the same.
Always remove any effects to styles because your korg will sound like a stereo when playing live.
You want strong punching dry bass and drums on live gigs if not you will sound marginal or poor.

I thought, we are talking only about styles which use only original programs. When you will use user programs into styles , you need .PCG user files.
When you don't have .PCG file , they are not combatible neither identical keyboards, because you don't have correct sound(Program)
