Hi,

better late then never as they say...here's my January song. It all starts with a sequence that I programmed on the Radias. My music lessons helped me to understand how step sequencers work, and so I programmed this one from scratch. It a good feeling to understand what exactly am I doing with all that gear lol....The chords (1st and 4th degree) were played on Roland JP 8k. The drums were generated by Radias (except for one kick drum, which is motif) and the remaining sounds come from the virus. I uploaded it on my new web page:

P.S. Its been a while since I last bough a new synth. Last week I found a good deal on Spectralis, from Radikal Technologies (www.spectralis.de). Its a hybrid synth + a powersul step sequencer and gorvebox. It should arrive next week and I'm really looking forward to it.

What cool sounds are these. The percussive elements have a nice metallic ring to them. Such a simple progression yet each sound is so meticulous and perfectly gels to create a symphony of electric sounds and textures. At the beginning I thought it lacked some sort of spatial presence in the highs but once it got going it seemed just fine, so perhaps the initial sounds are just dry sounding on purpose. I think you are definately growing and expanding this genre of music. Your songs are always interesting all the way thru and confident in what they achieve. I believe all your hard work is truly paying off. I need a class, too. These OSAMs and other music sharing is limited in the help you can get, vs a teacher standing there showing you how to do stuff. Very excellent song here, I love it. And congrats on making it thru to your january tune, awesome feat for anyone.

Awesome! clear sound, smooth development, love the flangi Percs and the LFO covered Arps, great lead sound, everything lays where it should be no more no less!

Nice one, I like the way the song spirals around from one musical place to another.

Beautifully clear and clean without being too hard, you really get the most from these sounds.

Cool studio shots too.

George, from my experience, I cannot overstate the importance of a music teacher. If he's good, then he will adjust to your needs giving hints and some theoretical background as you work on your music.

I tried to do it the classical way at the beginning - reading notes and learning to play the piano. After couple of weeks I had to push myself to even touch the keys...fortunately my teacher does not push me in any direction. We work on my music but also listen to different genres such as funk to help me understand what groove is about or how to build interesting solo lines. Then we translate that knowledge into what remains my 'gravity center' - electronica.

So go for it, find an open minded music teacher to help you harness all that creativity you have.

Hi Sewa, Easy to write on this....!!

The rhythmic elements are very well done. To me, there is no overbalance her at all...and that is a bit rare in this genre....

The chord structure supports BOTH the structure and the melodic variations you have in this...

I would like to see this well heard by all, ...It has an almost magical quality to it...hard to beat...!!

The central break is unusual in it's totally fit position for where it was!! With the melody moving away into other support sound....; It had a rather "ïs it over..." or ...."is it gonna come back feel!!....."...!! GREAT!! Kind of renews the spirit as it were....!

The Perc. then re-enters with, (just a few moments later!!).., a VERY..!! elusive and pretty (!!) bass ... What a NICE sound and feel... so ELUSIVE and yet IMPORTANT to the song....!! I found it to be most fitting in the overall feel....!! (I may be alone in that, for many like a loud bass sound...)

This ranks for me as one of the better tunes for this year...I REALLY enjoyed this... It seems to have it all!!!

Hi sewa,

Excellent job on composition! This is tune expertly together - very clever. I've listened to it several times - to take it apart seeing how you linked it all together. I think flows together is more descriptive than linked together. Interesting build up of momentum, then dissipated it away by the change up.

Nice arp w/percs. and the solo voice and execution are to die for - excellent playing man! Slick - love that style of solo voice.

The change up around 2 is beautiful - love those stabs - clever voice choice, and the snare entry with just enough verb - all ear candy. Nice mellow bass sound you've got there - it compliments the other voices - rounds the spectrum out.

This tunes shows that you've really got an ear for sound and tune composition. I would say you've got the right teacher! I took music lessons / theory years ago no the bass. That has helped me much creating synth. tunes. I get to be on both sides - the chords and melody as well as the bass.

Nice final OSAM 3 tune - show case!!!

Hope to hear more tunes - if you decide to only post on your new web site, let me know. I don't know if you are going in for OSAM 4.
