Are you plugged into the headphone output or a regular output? I you plug headphones into a regular output you'll only hear it on the left side.

im plugging the headphones into the headphones output, ive also tried the other out puts (left/right) and they do the same(one ear) which is understandable....but surely sound should be coming out of both ears when plugging into the headphones output?

I have the same problem with a radias. It came up 1.5 years after purchase. If i try plugging it in many times then both channel will work.

Cotton pipe cleaner. Contact cleaner. Use a towel to moisten the pipe cleaner with the contact cleaner, so not cleaner will drip.

You can guess the rest. Of course the gear needs to have power removed. Use some compressed air to help dry it out afterwards. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Then test.

Are you using a 1/4" adapter to plug 1/8" headphones into it? If so, maybe try a different one?

If that is the case then there is no problem with your headphone because I think the problem probably lies on the headphone jack. One more thing is maybe the jack is grounded because only one side is working. Have you also tried using it with other device?
