How fast can the MS-2000 do program changes?

I'm thinking of getting an MS-2000.
Currently I have an Electribe EA-1, and one of the most frustrating aspects of it is that the program changes take about a second to change presets while slaved to my MPC 1000, forcing me to cut note data at the end of the previous pattern to put a program change in there.
Does the MS-2000 have such an issue, and if so what are your work-arounds?
