A couple of EMX questions:

One: is there any way for the unit to receive midi on multiple channels?

two: what type of smartmedia card do I need? Google isn't helping.

So far I love the sound and I got this thing for cheap. I'm planning on using it live for additional drums, synth and leads but I need to be able to send more than one midi channel at a time.

smart media..

or you can get the adaptor for smartmedia to other stuff... are you sure you even REALLY need it for the emx? i know for the esx it helps a lot for transferring samples but i think on the emx its just for storing sounds.. theres a huge amount of tracks if you delete the stocks tracks..

my two cents

the SM card is completely optional on the EMX; anything you can do with the card, you can do over MIDI.

hey man, glad to see you here.

Yeah I learned also from the forum that we can do away with the smartmedia for the EMX. I just decided to get one for it as an additional backup for the ESX's smartmedia but with just the EMX, you can backup your files without it.

Hey! Small world lol

So I can delete the preset patterns? Greatness. I guess I won't need a card after all, I was expecting the presets to be locked down like in my RM1x.
Nice

Nice
exactly. all of the patterns are completely user-rewritable.
