In the "Rock" bank, have you tried the "Latin Rock 1" style? If not, have a go playing "La Bamba" ! ... It is really, really good - especially using Variation 4 for the link, and all the Fills. My congratulations and thanks to the musicians who created this style.
We sing a church lyrics version of "La Bamba", and we'll be using the "Latin Rock 1" style for the first time tomorrow in Corfu (with my new Steinway piano sound as lead). Sister Act, eat your heart out
Best regards,
Rob

Yes great - Latin Rock 1 & 2 are fantastic backings for Santana's "Smooth" and "Black Magic Woman" - just love them - always have since PA1XPro days...

Thanks Rob,
I play another Andy park song to a latin beat (DiscoSamba): The River Is Here. I played it at a portuguese church here in December and they loved it, they were right on the beat from the very beginning...

PS I loved the other title of the song you suggested: La Alleluiah!

Hi Graham,
Yes, they contain the four part harmony and chord symbols, there are four volumes, each containing about 550 songs, and you can order direct from Kingsway online here:
http://www.kingsway.co.uk/Shop/Sections ... m_id=85034
There is another excellent series called "The Source", full music volumes 1, 2, and 3, each containing about 650 songs, published by Kevin Mayhew music, which can be ordered online here:
http://www.kevinmayhew.com/Shop/Categor ... ource.aspx
My wife Carole created a master index of all songs in all the song books I have, including the 7 volumes above, complete with key signature, author, and copyright information. There are about 4300 songs in the index. If you or anyone else would like a copy of the index, just send me an email.
"The Source" and "Songs of Fellowship" books also come with CD copies of the words, so if you have a copyright license you can produce acetates easily.
For about £120/ $200 a year (depending on congregation size) you can obtain a copyright license from CCLI which allows you to use acetate copies of all the songs. Here's the link for the USA:

We're planning to have a worship concert in few months. There's about 14 songs that we would like to perform by a real orchestra. I contacted some of the producers, and in some cases they said some parts were not even recorded by real strings and so on. So all they have it's a keyboard chart. There are some scores to purchase for other songs, but they don't seem to fit what we have available. How does this work normally? Have you guys done this before?
