Kid Beyond here. I'm wondering if any of y'all can help me
bring my Kaoss KP3 back to life.

My KP3 was working perfectly, until...

I went on to the Web site and found the OS 2.0 Updater, at
http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=269 .

I downloaded the Updater, connected it via USB to my
MacBook Pro, and followed the instructions to the letter.
The Updater said I had OS v1.01, and that it would update
my device to v2.0. I clicked Update. Cool Update-y stuff
started happening on the device, and the Updater's progress
bar advanced nicely. Then, right towards the end, a dialog
box popped up that said something like...

Updater failed (-10000)

... or something like that (I should have written it down, of course).

Now, the KP3 does not turn on at all, no matter what I do!
The Updater seems to have fried the device! (The device
was working perfectly before I attempted the Update.)

Any thoughts?

hey man - i believe i saw you open for the glitch mob up in seattle about a year and a half ago! good show.

as for your problem i'd say it sounds like the firmware may not be fully written to the KP3 and that could be causing you problems... possibly try using another computer to update and try again?
