Looks like he is throwing his toys out of the pram after being told off by Daz.

Check out the link below, almost verbatim.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

The O does not feature on Korg Japans current product section either.

Did this happen recently?

Surely someone from Korg can offer us some information.

Off topic: Arranger, throw yourself under a moving bus. Yes, I mean that!

On topic: To me, it seems that it is premature to discontinue a synth with so much more untapped potential. Why was there never much interest in third party development? Did the economy kill the Oasys because of its necessary price point? I bet it had a lot to do with this. If Korg could justify keeping this thing alive you guys KNOW that they would. But let us be reasonable. This is not about Oasys even though we all want to make it about that. It is about Korg and the need for a company to stay a live and make a profit in a crumbling economy. Remember that all those Korg guys that are so appreciated in this forum count on Korg to remain profitable, too. They need their jobs like the rest of us. And if the Oasys is not selling enough to keep production rolling then production becomes an expensive burden that must be stopped. How many of us would keep going to work if there wasn't a paycheck to be had? If Korgs paycheck for the Oasys has stopped coming in then they will stop "going to work" on it. Simple economics!

Okay, now that I have tried to reason with myself... this still sucks!!!

The old M3 is on the discontinued list too, perhaps OASYS XPanded is just behind the door?

I'm beginning to lose my faith too, but discontinuation does not diminish the value of the OASYS.

Perhaps this will ease the burden of waiting for new updates for some of the people and lets them enjoy making music too. And when the whiners that had the O only as a status symbol throw them out of the window, the not so wealthy can have a piece of this cake too. :)

And I am under the impression that they do not have April Fools Day in Japan.
