NEVER ASSUME!!!!.....firewire related

hi all I just fixed a problem I had with my zero 8 that took month....only for something silly!....so i posted the link here for firewire not working problem + solution....

BUT i do have a firewire problem with my zero8

....no audio signal coming in logic..... it was because of the mixer.....checked all u preferences so had to be something else.....Basically I overlooked the possibility of the output of the mixer not set automatically ... midi via firewire was working... But the signal had to be sent via bus or master into logic
......assumption is the mother of all f*ck up!.....

not really, i think the firewire board in my zero is fried, every time i plug the firewire cable in something weird happens and the mixer totally bugs out. So it is going back to korg. MEH

me too. mine could be power related too. I keep posting about this and don't get any answers from Korg. I'll try calling them this week but what Im wondering is why the mixer says CSA Certified 120V only when also says 110-240AC on the plug.
for me it was- $370 for labor and a new main board. I lost firewire first, then audio went a day later.

I left mine unplugged for 2 weeks, then plugged it back in before i was due to send it back. Since then it has been fine.
very confused.
