I'm learning guitar.

I have ideas with some of my music that I envisage lead guitar.
I've asked a lot of guitarists if they would humour me but are either too busy are whatever. So I decided to try and learn guitar myself.
Getting to know the fret board I find is tricky. It's not like reading the keyboard.
Here's my first attempt at a Metallica number.

You'll also be able to see my "Kaoss" experiments if you are interested.

Not bad!
I notice you're not using your pinky, and that's one of the pitfalls of teaching yourself, you learn bad habits that have to be corrected later, and that's just as difficult, or maybe more so, than learning thing correctly, I speak from experience.

Since you are active on YOU TUBE, check out Justin Guitar, the guy is great, and has many lessons.

Good luck.

Cheers Stephen.
I know what you mean about my little finger. I had the same problem when learning the keys.
I know about Justin. That's who I learned most of the riffs with. :D
