Warranty outside USA?

Hello.

I'm thinking of buying a Korg X50 in the US and shipping it here (Slovakia , Central Europe), since the price is much lower, even when including tax and shipping. (our price: 700eur, US price: 700usd, + about 24% tax and shipping, which is still less)

I understand I have to buy a different AC adapter accustomized to the european voltage, but what concerns me is the warranty.

Will I be able to get support outside USA, or will I have to ship it in case it gets broken or something?

I'm not questioning the quality of this synth, I just have bad luck on faulty models.

Thanks for your replies :)

Korg Country Distributors (e.g. Korg USA or Korg UK) import products purchased from Korg Japan and sell them for a profit. The profit they make goes to marketing and support in that country.

If you purchase a product distributed by Korg USA, you would have to get support from Korg USA. If you purchase a product in the U.S. Korg USA makes some profit, but the Slovakian Distributor would not. The Slovakian Distributor would not want to provide support for a product they did not import.

Thanks for the reply :) I got myself one from a Slovak distributor a few days ago (a music instruments shop).

Cheers!
