Putting a PB at the very end of the signal chain seems to be (for lack of a better term) cancelling out the boost of a treble boost just before the PB.

With the PB at the head of the chain all works fine.

I know the PB is supposed to be transparent when disengaged but how else do I explain this other than impedence mismatch coming out of the boost and into the PB?

Theories welcome.

best place for a tuner is at the head (guitar end) of the chain. This way you are getting the cleanest signal to tune up and the tuner won't interfer with the tone shaping of the other stomps. Not sure why you are having the issue stated, but this is how i run mine.

This whole adventure is a false alarm - the problem happens with the PB out of the signal chain altogether.

If a mod would delete this thread please?

Rather than deleting the thread it would be great to know what the problem was in the end ... I think we've all suffered from this kind of problem or will at some point

What's in your chain ?

Working on it now.

I figure the possibilities are:

1) Impedence mismatch somewhere
2) Faulty cable
3) Power supply
4) Pedal

The power supply is a Pedal Power and batteries will eliminate that.

Starting with only the boost to verify, then systematically adding to the chain until the failure is reintroduced will be the procedure.

I'm actually working with a friend who has the issue so I'm more of a coach and investigative assistnant.

I don't believe there will be a definitive conclusion here - sorry.

The fellow is bailing on the problematic pedal and using a different pedal without issue.

I think the most likely conclusion is the pedal wasn't functioning properly.

Did you repair the PB?
Mine is doing the same things... as well is giving 1,8 volts at DC out
I've tried several power supplies with same results

The sound is terrible, I've lost a lot of gain even using it alone in the chain guitar->PB->amp

¿any idea? ¿dc jack? ¿True bypas relay? ¿in/out jack? ¿diode/circuit protection?

The issue as noted above occurred without the PB in the chain - it was false alarm.

I'll test the rig again, last saturday in a show the sound goes out but tuner seems working OK...
