I have problem with this issue, I have a Midi keyboard that is hooked up to Cubase 3. In cubase, I have a couple of VST's that I can play with the midi keyboard which is no problem. I also have a M3-73, but what I want to do is be able to play the VST's that are playing through the midi keyboard with the M3 too at the same time if possible.. Anyone has experience in this area?

Or perhaps, how about if instead of using the midi keyboard that is hookep up to the computer (Cubase), I use my Korg M3? How would I be able to control the VST's as well? Is there an option in the M3 that allows that?

To answer shortly, you can connect both keyboards to the pc. In the case of the M3 you don't even need a midi cable & midi interface, a plain USB cable will do.

If you do this, however, you will have two ports, one for each keyboard... So to play the same VST you will have to set up two tracks, with inputs on the two keyboards (one for each), and both outputing to the same VST.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish using 2 keyboards for the same sound, but it looks like this will solve your issues.

Or, as you say, you can ditch the other keyboard and just plug the M3, either via midi cables or plain USB.
