I don't have one (yet). How do you save patterns/songs...? Is there a slot for a memory card to save to, or a USB connection for saving to a computer?

The web site says this, but isn't specific:

"When you have created new tunes or songs, you can exchange the session data among other KORG DS-10 Synthesizers. It is also possible to play to the same tune or pattern by sending the session data in advance. Performances and compositions that weren't feasible with one DS will now be possible."

All the saving is done on the card itself, you don't transfer recordings, midi, or patterns from the DS to the Computer. To transfer a song to a digital recording you would hook it up to your computer and record the audio. If you don't have a DS yet, the DSi has a higher quality sound output. I actually like the output of the DS though, the lower quality is part of it's charm.. but I do also own a DSi and I do agree the output is cleaner.

Personally I think the sound quality is very nice. I've been sampling the DS-10 into my Roland SP-606 for further mangling and it works GREAT :D
I also just ordered the R4DS adapter so I can use the homebrew apps. Oh yeah.
