Here are the release notes and it looks to be of especial interest to Mac users having problems with Mac OS X 10.5.7
System Version 2.0.4 June,9,2009

Changes from Version 2.0.3

MIDI

* Improvement of function

The USB MIDI communication error between a Macintosh
computer with OSX 10.5.7 and the M3XPanded has been fixed.
The processing in the M3XPanded system has been modified so
that it accepts the changes introduced in OSX 10.5.7.

KARMA

* Bug fix

When changing Scenes directly before the end of a Module’s
internal GE pattern, in rare cases the Module might go out
of sync by several beats with the other Modules. This has
been fixed.

Global Mode

* Bug fix

When using the "Copy Key Setup" command in the Drum Kit
page, selecting a range of multiple keys at the "From"
location produced incorrect results. This has been fixed.

Media Mode

* Bug fix

If you loaded a SoundFont2.0 file which included samples
with less than four characters in the name and then tried
to save that sample data by using a "Save All" or "Save
Sampling Data" command, an operation error may have
occurred. This has been fixed by setting a proper sample
name when the SoundFont2.0 file was loaded in.

Yes, Mac OSX 10.5.7., plus some of the bugs brought up here over the last few months.

AK and Nedim/Rob - see, we were working on these things!

:wink:

Jerry

Jerry,

Thanks for the update. I am loading the new update now.

I wonder if korg will ever add PolyAfterTouch to the Radias EXB?

Jerry,

Thank you very much to you and your colleagues for your prompt work especially in addressing the problems introduced by Apple with OS 10.5.7 Even though I don't have a Mac myself (I'm a PC Windows XP luddite) it's very reassuring to know that the M3 receives this level of excellent service from Korg.

On the Soundfont 2.0 change to solve an issue with samples with less than 4 characters in the name, I think there are still a number of unresolved bugs remaining with importing Soundfornt 2.0 files, aren't there? .... the earlier thread from Nedim, Daz and myself contains all the details we found in testing. Were these other issues (for example the positioning of _L and _R characters in the sample name for stereo samples) addressed in the V2.04 release?

Best regards,
Rob

Thanks for the update. I am going to update the M3 now, too.

For those that did it, did you only have to do it once (though the instructions say you had to do it twice)? I tried to do it twice and it said the update wasn't needed...

I was unable to do this upgrade on my M3. I got file from Korg UK as it is not available through Jerry's link. Any ideas anyone?

I've never had a problem with any upgrades in the past.

Thanks for any help!

OK, I fixed my link - don't know what went wrong with it.

What kind of problem are you having?

Did you unzip the file?

Did you place the folder on the root level of your USB media?

please describe what you did and what specific results you got...

Jerry

Wow...thanks for the quick reply Jerry. Yup...unzipped it...put it on a clean USB. Thought maybe that since it was in a folder it wouldn't upload so I took all of the files (except the pdf's) and just left the files on the USB but nothing. I even reformatted the USB. I have used this USB for past upgrades in the same manner and had no issues. I'll download you link and see what happens. Dunno if its because of the UK download?

Wellllllllllllll...I went and downloaded the files off of your link Jerry and it worked fine. I'm good to go and playing as we speak :D

Thanks again!
