Hi Guys,
As you probably might know Yamaha's sequencer win program XGworks died officially in 2002 ( since Yamaha took over Steinberg ).
As far as I know it is ( was ) the only win program in the world one could enter chords and ( Yamaha ) styles.
It would be wonderful if Korg styles could be entered in XGWorks.
But that is absolutely not possible.
Even the newest Yamaha styles ( Ty3 ) cannot be entered anymore. XGWorks has never been updated.
It is completely obsolete and no longer existing.
Is there somebody within this group who can create a program with comparable applications for us, Korg PA players ?
Just like XGWorks following applications should be possible :
- enter chords ;
- enter PA styles ( intro's, breaks and endings ) ;
- create a midi file.
- Editing applications are not necessary.
- Editing can be done by Sonar, Cubase etc. after a midi file
has been created.
Upon my ( and others ) request, in 2008 Michael Bedesem made a comparable program called Producer.
It only works with Yamaha styles though.
A couple of days ago I asked Michael if he could make Producer for Korg but he answered me he cannot since he is not familiar with Korg styles.
Michael is a Yamaha specialist and is not interested in creating programs
for other keyboard brands than Yamaha.
In the meantime Rikki already has analysed Producer and informed me Produced can only be applied to Yamaha styles.
Changes for Korg styles are absolutely not possible.
It would be wonderful if one of our programmers within this group could make a similar program ( for win and Mac users, if possible ).
Plse advise. Many thanks, Jeff / The Netherlands
P.S. XGWorks is no longer available on the market.
Nobody cannot buy it anymore.
If you need a copy of XGWorks for study and/or examination purposes only, plse contact me privately ( xgwave@zeelandnet.nl ).
Producer can be downloaded from the internet - free of charge -
