Very sad indeed. Worst thing is he was only 50. Many musicians can still have 10 or 20 more years of activity at that age. Who knows what he went through lately.

He got a tad weird in the past decade with all the scandals and what not but its still shocking to hear about this. He did a lot for the industry.

I still remember being in junior high when Thriller and Beat It were hits and it was the cool thing to have his jacket with all the zippers and ofcourse we had to have the aviators on. I may still have my jacket somewhere

Wow. Went to sleep earlier and woke up with the internet ablaze with the news.

His life parallels Elvis'. There is no way either of them could survive years of abusing pain-killers and other drugs. Your heart is only good for a fixed mileage. After that, time's up.

Thankfully, he left a sizable body of work for us to remember him by. He was a wicked songwriter. It's easy to overlook the fact that he wrote his own songs, designed most of his stage costimes and came out with world-class dance routines. Endless creativity machine.

R.I.P M.J

Agreed. More than King of Pop, he should have been named Ambassador of Pop. I still remember the face of millions of chinese girls crying when he was singing live.

It's only once in a generation if then to experience a talented genius such as Michael. I wasn't even into his music so much when it came out, as I was into more "cool" music, but his were the tunes that crossed all boundaries and have incredible staying power, just listen to much of the pop crap that came out in the 80s with their over produced synth electronic sounds and they sound so dated compared to Michael. His music still rocks!

Pop music was already on its death bed. Now that MJ is gone, sadly i think pop may of just died with him. Now all were stuck with is the jonas brothers, britney spears and lil wayne. :x MJ was pops salvation!

Beatles Technology

"He was even concerned people would kill him to somehow try to take control of the Beatles' catalog," Oxman told the magazine, referring to Jackson's lucrative joint venture. I am sure a few people would like to have had a chance.

This will draw energy and awareness to the message within the Beatles music and hopefully be separated from a weirdness I never cared for. Talent can be as strange as the Universe. In the end we are all a product of our environment and MJ was no exception. The pressure on him was immense from childhood on.

His daughter Paris got the flow headed in the right direction. It's time to wake up and stop saying "what can I do about it" when it’s your own doing in the first place not to mention your responsibility. MJ's kids will have something to say in time.

911...the breath of the coming body. Kill it or pay the price as history repeats itself. Long live Mr. Higgs.....
