M50 88 and Roland DP8 half damper pedal

Any reason why this wouldn't work on the M 50?

Are all Half dampers created equal? Nobody has the Korg pedals locally.
I was lucky to find the Roland DP8 for under ten bucks and it works.

Although looks like I might have to recalibrate it after power up.

you've done the half damper calibration? It should stick if you saved your global data when you were done...

Well it looks like it looses the calibration after shutting down. So I'll have to get the Korg DS 1H pedal. Page 228 of the M50 Parameter guide warns of the sensitivity and that other pedals might not work the same. So for now I switched the roland DP8 to on/off mode and set polarity to + on the M50

Thanks for the reply

Have you saved the Global Parameters after calibrating? You can make changes all day but none of them will stay if you don't save them.

Assuming that write changes is how you save them I did that. on both pages.

weird. Than I have no clue. If it worked and you saved, it should work when you power it back on. That's really all there is to it.

Wish I could get my hands on it to play with it. Sorry I can't help...

Something must have been done wrong during the save.

I have the Roland pedal for my X50 and it works fine. The calibration saved without issue and it worked when I powered off/on the keyboard. I know you have an M50, but I find it hard to believe the calibration won't save.
