Is it possible to control the volume of the left and right keybaord in a Combi with the Assignable pots. I have created simple combis of organ on the left half of my TR 76 and piano on the right half, I used the i2 for years so this is all new to me. I now play in a classic rock trio and it would be great be able to control the volume of each one on the run, in real time.

Thanks for any help. I am using the manual as much as I can, but as everyone seems to agree, it's not very intuitive. I am also the lead guitarist lead singer so I do not get as much time as I would like to devote to learning Ihow to operate the TR. Playing it comes easier then operating it right now, but I do love my Korg.

Yes you can, Here's how;
Press menu, then F2 twice to highlight CONTROL, then press F8 to open, you'll see KNOB 1 highlighted, so use the scroll wheel to find VOLUME (CC#07), then press Menu again, Press F4 3 times to highlight MIDI 3, then F8 to open, all the patches will be listed, and probably have a check in the box just below it, you want a check in the box you want to control with REALTIME CONTROL KNOB 1, all others should be unchecked.
That should do it, remember to save the combi, (UTILITY-WRITE COMBINATION).

And of course, to have knob 1 control one sound and knob 2 control another sound, assign CC #07 to both and have one sound responding to knob 1 but not knob 2 and the other responding to knob 2 but not knob 1.

It would be nice, wouldn't it? but in reality that doesn't work...
I think the knobs are converted to CC before the MIDI filter for the timbres, which means that both send the same CC and thus conflict.
I just tried it (on A01 - Stereophonic Keys), although I already knew the answer because i've tried before.

However, I think it does work for two timbres, if you set the other controller to 'expression'. difference between volume and expression though is that the 'expression' controller only goes up to the 'volume' level set in the mixer, so if you want a full range, set that timbre's mixer level to 127.

you can control two different sounds with realtime knobs... one with volume and one with expression... (don't remember CC numbers but it is possible with midi filtering...)

After losing my graphic arts job a year ago, I have slowly gotten back into music, mostly doing an acoustic guitar act, consisting of acoustic blues, swamp songs (old ones and my originals) and variety. Then an opening came up in a 60's band called the Lords of Cool, and now I'm playing electric guitar again as well as my TR76. Going from an arranger (had about 13 years) back to a synth has been a transition. I call it one's tech Mojo, where you start to gain confidence and are willing to make mistakes. How can you get the volume pedal to bring in the strings and not touch the piano in the combi mode?

Set pedal to Expression (CC11) in Global mode. Turn MIDI filter checkbox for foot controller off for all timbres except those you want it to control.
