Timbres MIDI Record

Post by EpikureeR »

Hi there!
I've got a question concerning the Timbres and MIDI.

I work with cubase 5 and got a sound made out of two timbres.
I want to tweak the seperately, so I made two MIDI-channels with the same melodie in cubase and put one of the channels on MIDI-Port 2 and the second on MIDI-Port 3.
In the radias I set under Timbre->Midi->"Ch"(Channel) timbre 1 to channel 2 and timbre 2 to channel 3.

Everytime I tweak the sound on timbre 1 everything goes fine, but if I tweak the sound on timbre 2 the sound is tweaked also on timbre 1.

Has anyone any suggestion how to solve this?

in cubase, if you have a certain track selected then that will be active.

so it is possible that if you have the track for your first timbre selected, and it is set to 'all MIDI inputs', or something like that, it will rechannelise the MIDI to that other timbre.

It should be working fine, I do it all the time with no problem, so I think it is not a radias issue, but a MIDI connections and cubase issue.
