Korg D16 and Emac

Hello,
I wanted to find out is it possible to connect the D16 to an eMac computer using a Midisport or similar device to connect the D16 by MIDI to the eMac for mastering/ recording etc.. on the eMac? If not does anyone know how you could do this ?
Or will this not work ? I have a friend that owns this equipment and while I do work with PC's I know little of musical equipment. They have asked me if it is possible to connect the Korg D16 to there eMac
