hey kardo

Due to the fact that your Warranty has expired, there really isnt much you can do to get a free service and repair. Your gonna have to take it down to your korg dealer and purchase the parts needed to repair it.

Sorry cant be much help
Bye

Many people have faced this problem, it is a known problem on some Pa2xPro models, and normally two expensive circuit boards are replaced under warranty before the warranty period runs out.

Search this forum for posts from Korg's tramannoni on this subject (Pa2x LED).

You can always ask your retailer to make a special case for you since your warranty period may have expired. Ask them to check with Korg Italy about it. I hope they will agree to do a free repair.

If they refuse to do it free then you may have to take legal action to enforce your rights. I think you will win the case because this is a known manufacturing defect, and there is an obligation for the goods to be fit for purpose irrespective of warranty period.

Regards,
Rob

The parts needed are the right panel board, GRA0002131 and the left panel board, GRA0002130. These are the circiuit boards on which all the LED's and push buttons are soldered. By replacing these boards all LEDs are replaced in one go. Apparently there was a faulty batch of LED's supplied by the component manufacturer to Korg, but not all Pa2x's are affected since later batches of LED's were not problematic.

I expect that the parts will be supplied and fitted free. If your retailer creates any difficulty about it, then I would refer your dealer to the message about LED's on the Pa2x that tramannoni posted on this forum here. I would then insist that the dealer contacts Korg Italy about the situation, because I am sure Korg will do the right thing as Jerry Kovarsky (Korg USA) said in the thread.
