Enter button on my KTEX has started to alter the tempo

The strangest thing happened to me yesterday in rehearsal, my enter button on the KTEX started to alter the tempo, if if was pressed more than once.

I have used compressed air around the button just incase it was a bit of "gunk" causing the problem, but that doesn;t seem to be the case. The problem only happens in COMBI, SEQ, PROG mode and doesn;t appear to happen in other pages such as TRACK EDIT so I am assuming that the button itself may not be faulty and it may be a software fault inwhich case, what should I do?

enter button functions as a TAP TEMPO in Triton series so this is normal :D

Thank you for the reply, but the Tempo changes are random, I have my KTEX for nearly two years and this is the first time I have experienced it.

I will consult my " ever so daunting instruction manual " so I can work out the advantages of TAP TEMPO

Thanks again

I fear the only way to solve this is to replace the button. There is no way to switch off the tapping function of the Enter button.

Hi

It is true that the enter button will alter the tap tempo. It will constantly update as you continue to press so it may be that the random numbers are simply the TEx recalculating the time between pressings?

If you use the number pad and enter, does the sound change ok each time?
