The EXB-M256 is STILL at £120. Is that the Cheapest?

Hi
Im wanting to expand the memory of my M3 for sampling and loading up all EXB sounds.
Ive looked on the web, but the cheapest EXB-M256 is £120, even on eBay. I realise that priority ram can help with compatibility issues, but Why on earth are KORG still charging that amount for a tiny 256MB of memory after 18 months of the M3 on the market.
Has anyone found a M256 board any cheaper than £120 in UK or is there any other memory that works.. the M256 looks like Laptop ram.

Can't help you with respect to possible UK deals, but I can answer about whether you can use laptop memory. You can't.
The memory issue was discussed in a previous
thread. Here's the conclusion:

So, there you go. Korg used a standard SODIMM PCB for the EXB-M256, but the circuitry is custom. Only use non-Korg memory if you're comfortable with the possibility of destroying your M3 and voiding your warranty.

In fact, M256 is not a cheap thing... i found it about SGD$265 at City Music Singapore. But i surprised that i found a great price at Korg's Online Shop. It's only $99!!!!
