Downloaded the library software. Connected the microSampler to my computer via USB. My computer found the device. Obviously it didn't work because I forgot about the Korg USB driver.
Found and installed the driver. Nothing happens. Library software can't connect.
How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards

Are you on Mac or PC? Do you use an external audio interface?
What you can do right away: Try switching the microsampler´s midi mode to USB only (not midi+usb).

PC. No external audio interface.
I'll try that when I wake up.
However. I checked the driver in the XP device manager. Seems like it doesn't recognize the Korg-driver. I even uninstalled the Microsampler and reinstalled the Korg-driver and the Microsampler. Hm. Well. I'll try your suggestion tomorrow and return if the problem remains.
Thank you!

Did a quick one, changing global parameter to USB only. Didn't work. :/

it's very convuluted. what i finally had to do is all in the instructions but i didn't get it the first time. basically get you're microsampler connected via usb and then you have to install the driver to THAT usb port. from the programs/korg/drivers option.

i also tried it on my POWER BOOK G4 running OS X (latest version before leopard) and MIDI trough USB WORKS fine.
i installed the driver in the same way on both machine.

don't think is something about MIDI and AUDIO DRIVERS to be setted up in CUBASE 4 as i am good with that..
coul be a problem with my OS version or Windows service Pack version?

1. Download the latest KORG USB-MIDI driver. You should do this from the 'support' or 'downloads' section for your product, although the driver is universal to all KORG products so you don't need to download more than one if you already have the latest.
2. Run the installer you downloaded and follow the wizard
--MAY be worth rebooting at this point--
3. Plug in your KORG device
4. Run the utility 'Install KORG USB-MIDI Device' in 'Start>Programs>KORG>KORG USB-MIDI Driver'
5. Select your Korg product/device and click 'install'.
6. Click continue if you get a driver not digitally signed warning box
7. Your KORG product is installed and it's virtual MIDI ports should show up in the editor and any other DAW or MIDI related software you may have.
