My name is Dimitrije, I've owned an R3 for a year or so, and love every inch of it. It is a simple, yet very intelligent instrument capable of much more then most people suppose.
It is my first synth, and by using it I learned some things about sound synthesis. Patches made by other R3 users helped me a lot, and I am really grateful to all of the people who contribute their sounds here.
I have posted sounds that I programmed in several separate topics, but now I decided to start one topic where I will post all of them together, and add new sounds as I make them.

Suspicious bass

This one was firstly made for playing David Guetta's 'Love is gone'.
Knob 1 adjusts Osc2 semitone tuning, knobs 2 and 3 are cuttof/resonance and knob 4 adjusts vpatch1 intensity. Vpatch1-LFO1 modifies cutoff in sync with BPM, to imitate the sidechaining effect. An interesting sound can be achieved by raising the resonance value and tweaking Vpatch1 intensity.

I know there are already a lot of lead patches like this, but G+ fits my taste perfectly. It's a moogish lead with EG1 intensity on knob 3 to adjust the 'entrance' time.

Two almost identical patches. Reverb intensity is set to WET, resonance is set to maximum, and the mod wheel is patched to increase cutoff to create a wide sweeping effect.

The pig

A variation of the 'Bite bass' factory preset, fattened up a bit, and with increased amount of cutoff that's added when the mod wheel is moved. I mostly use this one to back up bass lines in my prog metal band, the way Jordan Rudess does in DT (hence the name). There's a sharp sequence turned on by default, just to show you what it can sound like.

A very expressive lead sound that I use a lot. Initial cutoff for both timbres is set to 0, and the virtual patching is set up so that the mod wheel increases it (again, for both of them).

4-Ms Lead

A very characteristic sound - unlike my other leads, release is quite long on this one, so it somehow sounds more liquid and 'lazy' (I don't really know how to explain, just try to play it

A special effect/noise/whatever you want to call it sound. I'm really fond of this one, and this kind of sounds in general is one of the things I like the most in the R3. Mod sequence varies pitch, mod wheel increases noise volume, LFO 1 varies cutoff, and LFO 2 varies pitch and resonance. Knob 1 and 2 are for oscillator 2 semitone and tune respectably, knob 3 adjusts LFO 2 frequency and knob 4 adjusts the 'Fixed frequency' value of the Ring Modulator inserted as insert effect 2. Whatever you turn, you get a different kind of noise
S11 bass

A thick bass sound with very long filter envelope attack, so if a note is held for more then 3 seconds, a sweep kicks in.

A dark sequenced formant sound. When mod sequence is turned off and amp envelope attack is reduced (knob 4) you get something that sounds like a 'vowely' pad (Father1).

One of my favorites. Resonance is high, and by slowly moving the mod wheel, which increases cutoff (but also vibrato), sound changes from quite subtle and soft to its screaming, agressive counterpart.

I'm proud of this one, I have to tell you. By default, it sounds like the most gentle wood instrument ever, but the filter does insane things to it
! It's polyphonic, so try just pressing as many keys as you can at the same time, pull the resonance (knob 2) all the way up and go crazy with the cutoff (knob 1). In a few gigs, I have created noise of such intensity that some people in the crowd were screaming Hear the demo below to see what I mean. This sound starts from 1:20, along with the DX ep.
Otac Lead

Or, as my girlfriend calls it, the 'mew mew sound'. Because of the specific filter envelope settings, it does resemble the voice of a cat. A tiny bit. Voice assignment is set to Mono 2, so that the filter envelope would retrigger and give every note this mewing effect.

Pad - lead split

A pad on timbre 1 and a lead on timbre 2.
The pad has the arpeggiator assigned to it with latch turned on, gate time set to 100% and sync note to 1/1 - which basically means that it will sustain any notes played automatically - so that you have both hands free to play the lead. Split key is C4. The 37 keys are a bit limiting on this one...

An SFX sound where oscillator 1 is on cross modulation and oscillator 2 is set to ring. The mod wheel is patched to modulate oscillator 2 tune, oscillator 1 modulation depth, cutoff (positive), resonance (negative), waveshape depth (suboscillator saw), and panpot.

A noise/SFX program that might seem dead at first, but with a few knob turns it begins melting your brain. Knob 1 - MFX frequency (decimator), knob 2 - IFX 1 dry/wet (reverb), knob 3 - LFO 1 frequency, knob 4 - LFO 2 frequency. So much things modulating each other here that I don't even have the patience to list them all.

Try to play this with first slowly raising the cutoff on timbre 1, and when you reach 1/3 of the circle, switch to timbre 2 and raise its cutoff. Since timbre 2 is one octave higher, it sounds similar to guitar harmonics slowly emerging from the basic tone (I don't really know how to explain it in english very well ) and it's one of my favorite ways to 'fill' the songs by using just a few notes, with more of a pad-like effect then a lead.
