I just been watching the film "This is it", and i was happy to see that the M3 was on the show, as far as i can see he use it mostly to play all the horns phrases.. But what a sound!! I would die to get a horn sound like that.. Would be interresting to know how he got that sound..

Do you know who the musician is on the film?

Google him then email him via his web site. Bound to have one. He might evenn contribute on this forum....

Try the films web site for a list of contributing artists or if you get to see the film on a DVD, you could pause the credits at the end and it should be there.

Just checked Keyboard Mag, looks like the guy with the M3 was Michael Bearden, or Morris Pleasure. Ah, the horns were from Morris Pleasure.

If it was a film, there is a good chance that you aren't even hearing the M3 and was dubbed in by a virtual instrument (or the real thing). I could be wrong - just throwing that out there.

cowtothesky is right, but I mean...if you've got this beast of a keyboard on set anyway...how could you not use it?

Oh, I agree. I love the M3. But, the horns on the M3 are pretty weak, unless you like the pop brass stuff. It is really hard to emulate good symphonic brass without having huge amount of sample data IMO. Much more than the M3 can hold.
