Hi,
I just tried to upgrade my Triton Classic from 2.1 to 2.53 and after booting in upgrade mode it started writing and erasing the EPROM? but in the end I always get this error:
Check sum error
Please change to System 1 Disk
Now my keyboard is screwed, it does not start anymore, just a blank screen, I've spent a lot of money buying more floppies, formatted, copied the files again, all waste of time and money, someone please help me recover the keyboard!

Thanks!

did you re-insert Disk 1 (of the upgrade set)?

Hi, I didn't try to re-insert because it gave the check sum error, I think it will give the same error over and over, won't it?
I also tried to upgrade to the earlier version that I had, 2.10, no luck! I will try to reinsert now when it asks, GOD HELP ME!
Thanks, please keep in touch,
Paul

On the 2.1 update pdf guide it says:
if you are using a system that is earlier than version 2.1.0 install the "SYSTEM BOOT DISK for TRITON Version 2.1"system file (three 2HD MS-DOS format floppy disks) into your TRITON.

To obtain the "SYSTEM BOOT DISK for TRITON Version 2.1," please contact your nearest KORG distributor.
Does that mean that besides the update that you download from the website there is this "system boot disk" as well? I just bought the keyboard from someone and as far as I remember it was version 2.1 already, any ideas?
Thanks!

After inverting the floppy cable from the main board to the back of the floppy drive the upgraded worked.
Case closed.

Thanks for the help!

Really? I just got a used Pro 76 with version 2.0.0 I was about to install the 2.5.3 upgrade as well.

What are you saying I should do? PM me if you would like.

just do the upgrade. You'll be fine.

And as an FYI, of all my gear, my Triton Pro is still my favorite (BY FAR).
