I know its early days regarding USB3 but are there any plans to upgrade the MS2000 in future to accomodate this improved connection.
It would be particularly useful if you were to use the MS2000 to transfer high quality audio files in a live setting (eg ableton live). USB 2 does not have the transfer speed to do this effectively
I appreciate this is not a key function of the MS2000 but it would expand the possibilities (unless there are other methods that i've missed on transferring audio at high speed)

The MS2000 is a discontinued product.
Furthermore, a USB3 connection would require a faster clock speed on the USB interface port which would require actual hardware changes. not to mention AFAIK the MS2000 does not even have a USB port.
Also, what are you suggesting would happen with audio files?
the MS2000 is not an audio interface, nor is it a sampler. It can't do anything with audio files.
If there were any plans to add USB3 functionality, it would be for the Radias if anything, even then it is not possible because of the above mentioned points.

The MS2000 doesn't have any digital audio output. It would take a re-design of the main circuit board just to get that capability. Then you'd have to add the USB connection. I'm sure Korg would just come out with a different product rather than go back and re-do the MS2000.
By the way, USB 2.0 is perfectly adequate for multi-channel digital audio transmission. I work for a company that makes USB audio interfaces.
I personally use a Firewire based recording system. Initially I plugged the MS2000 into the line level inputs of the interface. Lately, I've been running the MS2000 through a guitar amp, and putting a ribbon microphone in front of the amp. I'm also running the MS2000 through a Rocktron Banshee talkbox, which is very, very cool!
