Hello, people!

I will try to explain my problem. I just bought KORG ZERO 4 and traktor scratch pro 1.2.1 . I have the Windows 7 OS. I connected zero 4 and installed drivers. When I start my TRAKTOR and go to wizard I choose Korg ZERO 4( not ZERO 4 scratch). An audio setup opens but it is indicated that korg zero 4 audio device is not connected and I just able to change this to KORG ASIO drivers as audio interface. This case ZERO 4 works as midi controller perfectly, I put all input selectors knobs to position 'midi' all 4 lines become green lightened, then I can use crossfader, chanellfader, etc and everything goes to my laptop. But there is only one problem: when I am mixing with such setup I can not use CUE function, cause when I push CUE button on the ZERO 4 and CUE button on the TS become pushed, but CUE sounds that supposed to go to monitor goes straight to master output of ZERO 4. So I can not use prelistening of the tracks I am mixing. It seems that I just didnt get something with channels separation with ZERO4+TSP. How can can I make sound from TS goes to monitor output of ZERO 4. Could you guys help me with that? If I change back my OS to XP can it help? Should KORG ZERO 4 be recognized as audio device by TS?

BTW when I change the input selector to line/midi on two first channels and change the mixing mode in TS to external I become able to use cue function of KORG ZERO 4. But this case sound become more rough than in case of 'midi' for input selectors.

You will not get the cue function to work on the Zero 4/8 when channel strip is in full midi mode
I have tried to do this all week and found a few forums where other people say this cannot be done.

Another reason why I will eventually use my Zero 8 as a boat anchor or door stop rather than a fully functioning piece of kit I thought I bought.

yep the CUE button becomes a MIDI assignable button while in full MIDI mode on the Z4/Z8.

I have a good news. U definitely can use CUE function with ur zero4/8, but!.. U have to spent one more channel for that. The keypoint is to adjust ur traktor to send the monitor sound to 5 and 6 line on korg zero4/8 instead of 3and 4 line as it is by default. Then u switch to audio/midi mode on the 3rd chanel on ur zero4 and push f*ck*ng cue button. So, now, what we have: first 2 channels are in the midi mode and u use it as a midi controller. and 3rd channel is only for cue function(u can set a channel fader to 0). Now u can push CUE button on the 1st and 2nd channel and monitor sound will go to 3rd channel on ur kKORRG which is CUE. So it is kinda solve the problem and u can use it as a mixer playing music in a club, but this is definitely disadvantage of the KORG company.

Iwas thinking buying a Zero4 plus traktor pro. The ideia is to use zero4 only with the laptop, connected directly to the sound monitors (cause its audio interface) ..Make the zero4 the all in controller for traktor... 4 channels, four decks on traktor...

I´ve read some things about problems with cueing tracks (prelistening) and more

The ideia off buying such an expensive (but yet great) mixer/controller/audio interface for working only with traktor makes some sense? (like vci 100 (vestax)) Is it gone work perfectly?

Hope to get some answers soon cause i´m getting excited about the ideia..
