If you're using Sonar with your Korg keyboard perhaps you've experienced the switching of your keyboards Local On/Off to off while Sonar is loading on your PC.

This can be annoying at times and I'm wondering if someone has discovered how to stop that behavior?

Care to mention how?

I mean, I personally don't care, but it benefits everyone if you say how it was solved. It only benefits you if you mention that you solved it.

The whole point of a forum is to share information.

It didn't appear that anyone was interested but here is the link to the forum where the solution came to light.

I also contacted Cakewalk tech support and received this reply:

Hello Greg,

Thank you for contacting Cakewalk Technical Support. We apologize for
the long delay due to the holidays. The Keyboard should be in Local
Off to function in SONAR properly. You want to control bank and patch
changes from the MIDI tracks inside SONAR. Having 'Local On' may cause
a delay or other problems when working with MIDI.

If you want to change this, go to Start | Search and find the file
TTSSEQ.INI. Open the file in Notepad and add or edit the following
lines under the [Options] section.

SendLocalOn=1

or

SendLocalOff=0
